Update about the state of Reaper

The more I think about it, the less I like the comic as it stands.
The recent dish review opened my eyes to a few problems, some of which I knew beforehand (the horrible way the only female character is treated).
I'm working on fixing as much as possible.
I'm currently in the process of retyping all the dialogue and text, I will also use the opportunity to rework it. I will leave the art as is though, since the comic is supposed to chronicle my improvement and learning curve.
The art will (hopefully) look better in future instalments though.
As for the misogyny, I'll treat her better in future instalments, I will also introduce the second female lead character sooner than originally intended.
So yea I'll rework this and then just post it along with the new material, once I've got enough, on the comic dish 2.0 site.
So reaper is on hiatus for an unknown period of time.

Progress, so far and prediction

So how about an update?
The comic is not dead, there was just a lot going on IRL. I've managed to pass my trial period at my University.
So far I've managed to draw and ink the cover and the first two pages of issue 4, and have started sketching the third page.
ComicDish is also in the process of changing its system, which means I'll have to rebuild my site in it. Adding to that I'll soon have a newly upgraded computer to work with, which will improve the quality of my pages greatly.
Taking all this, I'll be able to clean and colour my pages in a few weeks and start uploading them once I've moved to the new system and re-built my website in it.
Never the less I'll post a preview of the cover soonish.

What happens after Birth?

So what happens now after we've finished the first story line?
Well, I'm taking a break, so it's a hiatus. Thing is, I have to concentrate on school work right now, I originally wanted to do this in September but due to all the delays and changes in my schedule the completion of Birth got pushed back as far as it has and I just didn't want to take a break before having finished something.
The reason why I have to really concentrate on school is that there is a trial period, that if I fail, I fail school completely so I really want to get through.
This however is not the end for Reaper, it's merely the beginning of what I have planned. I will be working on the next chapter called "First Steps", but not based on a schedule, I'll also start work on a side project in the form of an anthology series designed to expand and build the universe of Reaper. Currently I'm going to ether call it:
"Tales of SanGre City", "Stories of SanGre City", or "SanGre City Stories". What ever sounds better.
"But DM, why start a second comic if you have trouble keeping up with the one you've got?"
Because I'm stupid and because the anthology project will be done on a very irregular basis, whenever I've finished a story. Also I won't start posting Reaper Chapter 4 before I haven't created a good buffer, I've learned from my mistakes.
So Reaper will be back at around January 2012, I might post updates of my progress every now and then on my Blog, which you'll find a link to in the menu-bar on the top of this site.
So see you in January! :D

Yes, I finally managed to finish off Issue 3 page 20.
I'm also going to make an announcement later on, but first, go and enjoy (?) REAPERs first completed story-line: Birth!

New characters!

Yes today's page introduces two new chracters, it's also page 18 of the final instalment of the first story line.
Excitement.
Just two more pages to go till I can finally say I finished a part of my comic.

Sorry, I haven't finished the next page, I'm about 70% done though. I had to study for class and then Batman Arkham City arrived at my doorstep. And man is that a good game.
I just completely lost track of the time, so I'll likely have the page done a day late.
